Kaalpul Artesenal Ales is preparing to open the first craft brewery & taproom in Panajachel, Guatemala (and one of the first throughout Guatemala). Panajachel ("Pana" for short) is the primary tourist town and launching point for nearly all visitors to beautiful Lake Atitlan, Guatemala. We expect to begin brewing operations in early February and hope to open in March, prior to Semana Santa, one of the busiest weeks of the tourism year in Guatemala. We are looking for a primary, day-to-day brewer to learn our brews and for one or more assistants (including wait staff) also to work full-time in our brewhouse and tasting rooms. Training is provided but some experience in brewing is highly preferred. Salary is contingent on experience but keep in mind that pay is based on the prevailing wages for the region--not US-style wages. This is the perfect opportunity for someone from the US looking for a life-style change, a local Guatemalan ready to learn brewing, and/or anyone who wants the opportunity to start out with an upstart brewery poised to expand into a virtually wide-open market.
