    Temperature and humidity for barrels

    Hi

What is the recommended temperature and humidity levels for barrels?

Is it acceptable to keep the barrels at 10C (50F)?

Is a temperature fluctuation of 5C +- acceptable in the space for barrels?

    Thank you

    Philip

Ideal temperature varies pretty widely depending on what you're doing. Aging a big RIS, 50* is great. Trying to get some funk out of a mixed culture, 50* isn't gonna do you any good at all.
