    Seeing what the lab response was, I am guessing that there is probably some interference going on in the titration. At the given levels other factors in the beer may lead to the flavor changes in a beer more than the alkalinity and hardness of the final product, as stated in another response.

    Like I have heard and said, you could give the same recipe to several brewers using the same water source and the final product will be similar but different depending on the system and the choices the brewer makes during the process. It is somewhat amazing that the macro brews are so consistent from brewery to brewery, and from batch to batch.
