Ventura Coast Brewing Company is looking to add an Assistant Brewer/Cellarman to our production team!
We are a small hard working team of passionate beer enthusiasts who produce a diverse array of both classic and experimental styles of ales, lagers, and wild beers . We have a bustling tap room and a small but growing distribution network, based in the heart of downtown Ventura, CA.
The ideal candidate will posses the following:
Understanding of Brewing and Fermentation Science Basics
Professional and/or Home-brewing Experience
Extreme Attention to Detail
Strong Work Ethic
Fork Lift experience (Not Required)
Must be able to repeatedly lift and maneuver 55.lbs to shoulder height and be able to repeatedly maneuver 165.lb kegs to pallet height
Responsibilities:
Transferring and Carbonating Finished Beer
Kegging/Bottling
Gravity Checks
Dry Hopping
Harvesting Yeast
Pilot Brewing
Fermenter CIP
Keg Washing
Filling Barrels
Assisting the Head brewer
General Cleaning Duties including scrubbing floors, cleaning draft lines, and shining tanks.
May also include the occasional local keg delivery and servicing draft lines for outside accounts.
Professional brewing experience is not required, however candidates must have a general understanding of the basics of brewing and fermentation science, including all aspects of the brewing process from grain to glass.
