Summary:
Connecticut Valley Brewing Company is proud to create an effective, well-maintained brand. Our customers rely on our brand to be visually compelling and easily identifiable in all spaces. We’re looking for a new team member capable of handling all in-house artistic and photography needs. This includes, but is not limited to all key responsibilities listed below.
Key Responsibilities:
- Creates informative and memorable content to build brand awareness and loyalty throughout various traditional outlets and digital platforms
- Works on a wide variety of creative assignments, from concept development through to finished product, including but not limited to the full design of labels, packaging, brochures, point of sale materials, and apparel
- Create signage, posters, collateral materials and promotional items for special events and retail environment
- Assist the Marketing Department with new marketing concepts, initiatives and projects
- Manage and coordinate projects with printers and vendors in order to achieve desired results
- Utilizes eCommerce plugins on Wordpress platform to maintain online store
- Designs new merchandise and oversees current product inventory as needed
- Engages in continuous education to sharpen skills
Minimum Qualifications:
- 21 years of age or older
- Valid and clean driver's license and use of own car each day
- -Minimum of 2 years of professional experience as a Graphic Designer, Creative Professional, or other combination of relevant education and work experience
Skills
- Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat and InDesign). 3 years of experience or greater preferred
-Some experience with eCommerce plugins for Wordpress websites and the ability to maintain an eCommerce store.
-Familiarity with product photography
-Familiarity with branding and brand cohesion
-Ability to design posters, postcards, product labels, social media graphics, merchandise, etc.
- Excellent Artistic Sensibility
- A strong understanding of web graphics
- Strong understanding of typography
-Interested in or willing to develop a passion for the Connecticut craft beer scene.
- Excellent prioritization and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects within deadlines
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Able to function in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment
- Able to follow complex instructions and adhere to them
