  • Brewmaster Needed for Los Angeles Area Brewery

The owners have a restaurant background and are looking for an experienced, creative Brewmaster that can take the helm on the brewing side of the operation. This will be a full time position that we expect to start mid summer. Prior to that point we will pay a consulting fee for assisting in the procurement of our brewhouse. – Maintain accurate and detailed production records including yield and loss summaries, brewhouse efficiencies and a consistent inventory/cost record
    – Yeast management and propagation
    – Oversee quality control procedures to eliminate contamination
    – Manage all brewhouse operations within OSHA regulations
    – Ensure an open line of communications between ownership and senior leadership
    – Eager to engage the public at festivals and trade events

    Qualification and Skills:

    — A passion for beer quality and consistency
    — Attention to detail and record keeping
    — Creativity to develop new recipes and processes

Other important attributes include a deep understanding of yeast strains, hop varieties, grain varieties, and brewing with fruits and other food ingredients.
