    Job Role: Part-time Cellar/ Packaging Operator


    Fat Bottom Brewing in Nashville, TN recently built our new 36,000 sq ft facility and we are looking for a Part-Time Cellar Person / Packaging Operator to join the expanding team.     Role Summary

    A cellar/packaging operator must execute all cellar and packaging operations according to given standard operating procedures. They shall carry out operational and quality standards during all production, sanitation and safety procedures. They will be responsible for working days, evenings, and weekends in the brewery as needed.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Plan
    o Manage time wisely in order to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively
    o Participate in training procedures for Production staff
    o Keep records of packaged goods to be verified by the Shift Lead
    o Keep accurate inventory of packaged goods
    o Assist on our Comac canning line and Maheen bottling line
    o Clean and fill kegs according to SOPs
    o Pick orders in a timely manner and stage for shipment

    Execute
    o Complete assigned tasks in accordance with standard operating procedures and guidelines (SOP/SOG)
    o Follow all safety procedures and report unsafe conditions
    o Periodic handling of hazardous chemicals
    o Continually clean and maintain all beer production areas including equipment
    o Follow daily and weekly cleaning schedules to maintain a clean working environment
    o Testing and assurance of beer quality
    o Represent Fat Bottom Brewing at company events and beer festivals

    Requirements

    Education/Experience
    o Previous brewery experience is a plus
    o Knowledge of beer quality, production, and ingredients
    o Experience with heavy machinery, brewing, and laboratory equipment
    o Ability to work as part of a team
    o Forklift Experience
    o Strong mechanical background

    Skills
    o Passion to create great beer
    o Organization, planning, and execution
    o Autonomy, situational awareness, safety awareness, and problem solving

    Physical Demands
    o Must be able to lift 55 lbs to shoulder height and push or pull 175 lbs
    o Must be able to work on your feet for 8 hours or more
    o Must be able to crouch, bend, lift, twist and reach
    o Must be able to work in hot, cold, wet, loud, and unpredictable environments
    o Must be able to work around harsh chemicals while wearing proper PPE
    o Ability to perform repetitive tasks in a production-line setting

    This is an entry-level role that will provide an opportunity to grow within an exciting company. Shifts will vary depending on production schedule.
