Brew Team Position (Brew House/Cellar/Barrel Aging/Packaging)
Alter Brewing Company is seeking qualified candidates for an entry-level brewery team position. Alter is looking for more quality, hardworking members to join our 3-man brew house/cellar/packaging team. The right candidate will have strong multi-tasking skills, exhibit attention to detail, a passion for beer and brewing, strong desire to learn, and an uncompromising work ethic with honesty and integrity being of the highest priority.
Responsibilities include:
- Canning/Packaging Operations/pack off/stacking
- Keg Cleaning and Filling
- Basic CIP/Tank Cleaning and Sanitation
- Fermentation Control and Monitoring
- QC/QA assistance
- Grain Handling/Milling
- Assist with Brew house operation as needed
- Communicate regularly and efficiently with all Alter staff including sales, tap room, marketing, operations, accounting and management
Qualifications:
- B.S./B.A. in the natural sciences (chemistry, biochemistry, biology, etc.), formal brewing school training or engineering background highly preferred
- General understanding of the brewing process
- A desire to learn and grow with our company
- Collaborate and communicate effectively in a team environment
- Able to work with little-no supervision
- Ability to work long hours if necessary
- Withstand demanding physical work load
- Must be able to lift 55lbs to shoulder height and move and/or manipulate 165lbs
90-day probationary period. 20-30 hours/week minimum. Starting hourly wage dependent on experience. Opportunity to become a full time salaried employee.
