    Toronto brewpub looking for a passionate and experienced Head Brewer who will be responsible for all aspects of the brewery production and day-to-day operations. This includes but is not limited to purchasing, meeting with customers, creating new recipes, managing productions schedules and resource planning.

    The successful applicant will have a positive attitude, be a team player, passion for brewing with previous brewing experience, a strong work ethic, good organization skills, good communication, creative, be open minded, and a drive for maintaining quality and efficiency.

    Competitive compensation, including base salary and bonus structure based on experience.

    We are looking for someone with:

    Minimum of 2 years of brewing experience
    -Experience crafting recipes
    -Experience with 10bbl Brew System
    -Formal brewing education
    -Ability to work closely with and report to management, and communicate effectively with all other staff
    -Able to lift to 50-100lbs
    -Enjoys craft beer and can develop new products
    -Ability to use Microsoft office and Google Drive


    Job Duties:

    -Manage weekly production schedule
    -Ensure adequate inventory for brewpub, bottle shop and licensees
    -Manage brewery operations, ensure safe working environment
    -Produce consistent beer, improve existing recipes and craft new recipes
    -Maintain quality control testing
    -Carry out and enforce proper housekeeping and organization standards across the entire brewery and storage
    -Maintain equipment including steam boiler, glycol chiller system, draft system
    -Handle procurement of all raw materials, packaging, chemicals, etc.
    -Manage weekly inventory of all raw materials, packaging, and finished goods
    -Maintain beer production records for excise taxes
    -Train serving staff as needed, create training package
    -Communicate effectively with staff, customers and management
    -Attend craft beer related events, conferences, festivals as needed
    -Participate in brewing competitions
