    About Our Brewery:

    Mikkeller Brewing San Diego opened in 2015 as the first physical brewery from acclaimed “Gypsy” brewmaster Mikkel Borg Bjergsø. We challenge ourselves to brew world-class beers inspired by our experience and bound only by the limits of our creativity. We are constantly pushing the boundaries as to what is considered “good beer” and changing the definition completely.

    About the Position:

    The Tasting Room Manager is a full-time exempt position. Reporting to the General Manager, this person will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of customer service for guests, managing and supervising tasting room staff, and ensuring all tasting room duties and operations are met and executed efficiently across multiple locations.

    Responsibilities and Duties Across Multiple Locations:

    -Assist in interviewing, hiring, and training tasting room staff
    -Maintain a clean, friendly, and welcoming environment for all customers always.
    -Perform regular inventory counts of beer
    -Submit weekly beer orders
    -Meet or exceed pre-determined monthly sales goals
    -Schedule staff to meet tasting room needs
    -Assist in the tasting room when necessary
    -Open and close tasting rooms when necessary
    -Accurately count money and fill out cash report
    -Input creative ideas and efficiently source merchandise
    -Propose, coordinate, and execute special events within the tasting room that will bring in customers and drive sales.

    Qualifications and Skills:


    -Must be located in the San Diego area
    -Bachelor’s degree in Restaurant/Hospitality Management preferred.
    -5+ years of proven management experience in a bar/restaurant setting.
    -Knowledge of craft beer industry highly preferred.
    -Ability to interact professionally and effectively with employees and the public.
    -Ability to manage, train, and motivate tasting room staff
    -Excellent verbal and written skills.
    -Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
    -Experience planning and executing events.
    -Great attention to detail.
    -Knowledge of basic brewery operations preferred.
    -Experience with Square POS preferred

    Job Type: Full-time

    Salary: $45,000.00 to $49,000.00 /year
