We are a seasoned group of executives looking for a Head Maintenance Tech to ensure optimal mechanical operation of all brewery equipment. The ideal candidate will have the passion and ability to lead all maintenance operations, from preventative maintenance to troubleshooting packaging. This person will be responsible for making sure our brewers and packaging line are able to brew and package. They will lead and develop brewery maintenance. Experience working in a brewery is a plus but not required.
Rivals Brewing Company- Head Maintenance Technician
JOB TITLE: Head Maintenance Technician
LOCATION: Middleburg Heights, Ohio
POSITION TYPE: Full-Time
POSITION SUMMARY: The Rivals Brewing Company Head Maintenance Technician requires a self-motivated responsible professional to perform a wide variety of skilled mechanic and electrical duties. The Head Maintenance Tech will provide hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs for bottling and canning equipment, kegging equipment, and packaging equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Maintain, repair, upgrade, and perform preventative maintenance on equipment in the brewery including; but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and electronic systems
•Perform skilled and complex troubleshooting of production equipment within the brewery
•Troubleshoots PLC’s, Controls, Motors, Medium Voltage Equipment.
•Maintain and keep inventory of manuals and spare parts for all the mechanical and electrical equipment
•Keeps tools organized and accessible
•Assists with new equipment installation and startup.
•Promotes an atmosphere of cooperation and teamwork in the brewery.
•Works with Beer Production and Packaging to ensure effective communication of new and existing maintenance tasks/jobs.
•Cross-train with other production departments to become familiar with processes and equipment
• Develop, keep, and updates appropriate records/maintenance logs
•Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devise in operation and listening for problems
•Responsible for bottling/canning line changeovers, adjustments, synchronization of equipment and equipment up-time.
•Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove, repair and replace defective parts.
Additional duties may be assigned as necessary
IMPORTANT SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
•Ability and aptitude to work with and troubleshoot equipment
•Skills applicable to general maintenance functions. This skill set should include mechanical, electrical, plumbing, welding, pneumatics, pipefitting, and boiler/steam
•Working knowledge of brewing/process equipment including: electrical controls, process instrumentation, Programmable Logical Controllers
•A well-organized and self-directed individual who is a team player
•Exceptional time management skills
•Ability to handle potentially hazardous chemicals & train others in safe practices
•Outstanding attention to detail
•Ability to work/communicate effectively with outside vendors, equipment manufacturers and contractors
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS:
•Minimum of 3 years of experience in preventative maintenance
•Prior experience in maintenance, repair, engineering, or related field
•Formal maintenance education, training, certifications, or accreditation, a plus
