Big Ridge Brewing Company located in South Surrey BC Canada is looking for passionate craft brewer. The full time position offers a competitive compensation package including staff perks, benefits, professional development opportunities and a great team to work with!
Nature of Work
As the Brewer you are responsible for but not limited to quality control, concept development, keeping detailed brewing records, canning, kegging, raw ingredient ordering, yeast management, health and safety measures, tank and equipment maintenance, as well as scheduling.
You maintain a professional and safe environment, cultivate an exceptional team and individual performance often working unsupervised, maintain high quality standards for each batch brewed and have high standards for cleanliness overall. You bring a positive attitude to the brewery and take pride in your work.
Requirements
• Excellent physical stamina being able to work full shifts on your feet and regularly lift upwards of 25kg
• Writing and math skills necessary to accurately complete unit conversions, volume and pressure calculations, and alcohol content
• Comfortable working in varying degrees of temperature and humidity
• Barrel aging experience a benefit
• Mechanical aptitude
• Minimum 1 year of professional brewing experience
• A love of beer
