    Job Description:

    Peoria Artisan Brewery is seeking a Head Brewer to lead brewing operations and continued growth at our 5BBL Brewpub in Peoria, Arizona. The Head Brewer will be a member of our leadership team performing and leading brewing operations. Quality, consistency, uniqueness and creativity are all qualities that we value. This is an exempt position with a competitive salary and paid vacation.

    Our brewery consists of a 5BBL Brew House, five 5BBL Fermenters and two 5BBL Brite Tanks. We are planning the purchase of an additional 5BBL Fermenter. We run 20 taps, a full kitchen with our amazing Chef and staff with a dining room that accommodates approximately 60 people and a patio that accommodates approximately 45 patrons. Our Brewpub food is New American style cuisine that we craft from scratch. We actively participate in the AZ Craft Brewers Guild and many community support activities. We are a Veteran Owned, Local and Independent Craft Brewery.

    Duties and Responsibilities:


    Brew high quality, consistent, flavorful and creative craft beer

    Maintain and service all brewery equipment

    Develop new and refine existing beer recipes

    Ensure proper fermentation of all beers

    Refine and manage QC program ensuring batch consistency and high quality

    Perform carbonation and kegging (packaging)

    Continue the development and refine standard operating procedures to support further expansion of brewing operations

    Plan brewing operations and manage brew material inventories

    Maintain draft systems

    Maintain a yeast management program


    Qualifications:


    Candidates should have about 2 years of commercial brewing experience.

    Formal brewing education highly desired.

    An undying passion for craft beer is an absolute must

    Attention to detail is critical and the ability to maintain comprehensive records and analyze beer trends

    Must be willing to work independently and take initiative

    Candidates wanting to run a business within a business will be ideally suited for this position

    Must be able and willing to work long hours in hot, wet and strenuous conditions with the ability to consistently lift 50+ pounds

    Must be business minded

    Must be mechanically inclined and able to maintain and repair brewery equipment

    Any candidate must be a pleasure to work with and want to work hard
