South City Ciderworks is looking for a part-time delivery driver and production assistant. Expected needs Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday for 6 to 8 hours each day for a max of 24 hours/week with the potential opportunity to grow into a full-time position in 10-12 months if desired. This position will be responsible for product deliveries throughout the Bay Area, creating and maintaining a line cleaning schedule, and being a customer-facing advocate for the cidery. The ideal cider advocate is a dedicated team player and a professional with excellent communication skills committed to top notch customer service. Applicant must be able to handle traffic, bad drivers, full kegs (165lbs), difficult customers, and city parking with patience and perseverance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with sales team and production leads to determine the optimal route and delivery schedule for the day/week.
- Check-out inventory and load delivery van with all required product for each delivery day
- Conduct pre-trip inspection of the delivery vehicle prior to each day’s deliveries
- Maintain cleanliness of delivery van
- Act as a front line of communication with accounts throughout the delivery route
- Records sales or deliveries information on delivery records.
- Obtains customer signature on receipt for pickup or delivery and payments by check when applicable
- Operate material handling equipment including pallet jacks, keg dollies, hand trucks, and hand carts with up to 300lbs
- Listens to and resolves service complaints to the best of their ability
- Have a positive attitude in the face of adversity
REQUIREMENTS
- Only highly self-motivated, organized, competitive, dedicated independent individuals need apply.
- Availability to work Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday
- 21 years or older
- Have a valid driver's license and clean driving record with no serious traffic violations.
- Pass a background check.
- Be able to safely move, lift and lower full kegs (approx 165lbs) into and out of the delivery van
- Be able to walk, stand, climb, balance, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl on a daily basis.
- Reside in Bay Area
- Have strong communication skills
- Have good interpersonal skills, including professionalism with a customer service focus
- Be able to maintain a schedule and work with other team members to coordinate
- Have basic math skills
- Mechanical aptitude
- Problem-solving skills
- Passion for cider and the growing craft beverage industry
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively with customers, partners, managers, and employees of the organization.
- Wantingness to work with the team and collaborate effectively.
- Job Type: Part-time
- Salary: $18.00 to $20.00 /hour
