    Schilling Beer Co. brews progressive, European-inspired beers in the White Mountains region of New Hampshire. Brewers and Cellar Staff are an integral part of core beer production, new product design, and packaging operations. This individual will coordinate and perform cellar duties for our 20-bbl production and 3hL pilot system.

    Responsible for cellaring with duties to include:
    • Facilitating start-up and shutdown of facility processes
    • Milling
    • Coordinating with other Schilling brewers to prepare raw materials
    • Assisting with and preparing for brews
    • Eventually, pitching yeast and working with head of laboratory operations.
    • Managing fermentation vessels and fermentation schedules.
    • Identifying safety hazards and adjusting processes to conform with OSHA requirements
    • Carrying out CIP / sanitation to turn tanks
    • Accurately maintaining daily records and utilizing tracking software (Ekos) for cellaring.
    • Maintaining a personal appearance and conduct reflective of professionalism and pride in Schilling Beer Co.
    • Maintaining facility cleanliness
    • Communicating critical information with appropriate departments
    • Taking direction from Head Brewer/ownership and working collaboratively with other brewers
    • Working on the packaging lines (cans and bottles)
    • May have potential for brewing over time with proven performance and brew schedule availability


    Skills & Abilities
    • Production brewery/cellar experience preferred
    • Quality first approach with attention to detail
    • Creative problem solving/troubleshooting
    • Strong mechanical understanding
    • Ability to multitask and work quickly, without sacrificing precision or quality
    • Solid organization skills
    • Good verbal and written communication skills
    • Proper use of PPE and safe chemical handling to ensure personal safety, as well as the safety of others
    • Ability to work varied shifts when needed
    • Ability to move objects in excess of 100lbs., and lift/carry objects of 55 lbs
    • Ability to operate a fork-truck (preferred) or willingness to learn
    • Ability to work on feet for 10+ hours
    • Ability to work in a noisy, warm and humid environment
