Gilgamesh Brewing in Salem, OR is expanding our team and we need ambitious brewers! This is an opportunity for full time employment with a company in rapid growth. Candidates should expect a fast learning curve with the potential for leadership and growth within the company.

Duties are variable as are hours.
Primary duties include but are not limited to:
Brewhouse operation and troubleshooting
Cellar work to include tank-to-tank transfers, dry hopping and other tank additions
HTST pasteurizer operation
Centrifuge operation
Cleaning and brewhouse sanitation
Assistance with brewhouse operations during brew days
Packaging assistance with bottles and cans
We utilize a Meheen 6-head bottler and a Wild Goose 4-head canning line. Experience with either is preferred, but not required
Kegging beer and keg-to-keg transfers
Quality control and documentation
Requirements for these positions are include:
Strong work ethic is a must, and you’ve got to love brewing
Familiarity with handling of brewery chemicals
Competency with CIP/SIP systems and sanitary practices
Ability to excel in a noisy, wet environment with a variable schedule including nights and some weekends
Strong analytical skills
Attention to detail in regard to safe operation in an industrial environment
Microsoft Office experience is useful but not required
Prior brewing experience is required for this position. Familiarity with equipment such as pumps, valves, heat exchangers and associated troubleshooting is highly valued. This job is very physical, but attention to detail and commitment to quality control are crucial. Ideal candidates should be able to repeatedly lift over 75 lbs. to chest level to grind bags of grain and stack kegs. Experience driving a forklift or similar equipment is highly valued. Formal brewing education is favorable. A valid drivers license is required. Compensation package is competitive and DOE.
