New Production Brewery in Midtown Atlanta is looking for a professional Head Brewer to join the team. The person we are looking for should have minimum 5 years brewing experience at a commercial brewery. Preferably head brewer experience (or equivalent brewing education), managment exprience, and start-up brewery exprience. The person we hire is going to be the first employee outside of ownership. We want someone who can help pick-out brewing equipment, have input on early staff hired, be involved in the buildout, and work with the managing owner through the major steps of building out a brewery. We have our locaction and are currently beginning the initial steps of getting renovations approved. Ownership has worked in the craft beer industry for several years, but we want a professional head brewer to join us and be a major part of this team, where your input is valued and listened too.

Job Duties:
- Recipe Creation (based on market and taproom needs)
- Set Up Lab and maintain high-quality standards for product
- Develop Hop Contracts
- Work with vendors and manage inventory
- Help to select brewing equipment
- Oversee some areas of build out
- Handling all brewhouse operations & cellar work
- Setting yearly budgets
- Hiring/managing production staff
- Developing and Maintaining SOPs
- Creating a safety program for the brewery
- Canning and Kegging of Product
- Work with ownership to plan for smart growth
- Input hiring staff outside of production
- Manage Brew Schedule
- Participate/lead sensory classes
- Writing beer descriptions for marketing material
- Some nights and weekends required (promote brand, beer fests, beer dinners, etc...)
- Willingness to assist in projects and tasks not specifically listed

- Reliable & Punctual
- Good Computer Skills
- Fantastic Communication skills (text, email, phone)
- Managment Experience
- Accredited Brewing Education (or 5+ years experience)
- 5+ years experience as a head brewer (preferably some start-up experience)
- Ability to brew a wide variety of beers with extreme attention to quality and consistency
- Career Brewer ready to grow with a company
