    Job Description:
    As a new employee at our homebrew shop and brewery / taproom hybrid business, your role will vary depending on the day. We're mostly looking for someone who's able to manage themselves and conduct sales in our homebrew shop throughout the day, and accomplish side work when possible or necessary.

    Position Requirements:

    Must have extensive and recent/ongoing homebrewing or home winemaking experience.
    Must possess excellent customer service skills and experience in retail or service industry.
    Must work well with others.
    Ability to spend long periods on feet and moving around.
    An ability and desire to work with people and help with recipes, getting started or advancing in the hobby, and product knowledge.
    Experience and working understanding of best retail practices and operations.
    Optimism and professional attitude with attention to detail and sense of pride in their work.
    Mechanical inclination a plus. Knowledge / experience with commercial brewery fittings, processes, and best practices is a plus.
    Professional experience with any of the following: Excel, Illustrator, Wordpress, Social Media, ecommerce - highly sought.

    Duties and Responsibilities:
    Cleaning the premesis, inside and out. Proficiency in broom and dustpan as well as mop operation is a requirement of this position.
    More cleaning, dusting and shopkeeping duties (displays, pricing, etc.)
    Customer service at sales counter- includes operating cash register and POS system
    Answering phone calls
    Stocking shelves and receiving orders
    Placing orders with vendors
    Milling grain and assembling kits
    Demos and developing know-how on all styles of brewing systems (PicoBrew Z, Grainfather, 3-tier systems, BIAB, BrewJacket Immersion, DIY setups, Arduino, Sous-vide)
    Using, assisting, rentals, and maintenance of fruit processing equipment seasonally. (Crusher/destemmers, presses)
    Occasional entry-level cellar work in brewery (cleaning beer lines, moving kegs)

    Employment Guidelines
    Part time or full time, both are possible depending on applicants interest. Minimum 18 hours/ week.
    Ability to work days, nights, weekends, flexible schedule is required.
    Holiday and weekend availability is required (we're closed Christmas day). We will do our best to accommodate vacation requests.
    A one year commitment is preferred, without more than 2 weeks of vacation time total.

    Compensation and Considerations:
    Opportunity for advancement in the company via a position in the brewery- (production side / cellar or taproom/ front of house, events) or an administrative role in the homebrew shop (management, ecommerce, etc)
    Discounts on ingredients / sponsored brew days / beer / grapes, winemaking discounts.
    Although the setting is laid-back and fun, this position is demanding. The right candidate will be given the opportunity for advancement in this business and craft industry at large with proven performance.
    Compensation will depend on experience and motivation and be re-evaluated after 60 day conditional period.
    Hourly position with potential for salaried pay in the future.
