Parkway Brewing Company in Salem Virginia is currently accepting applications for a cellar position. Come work in an exciting and growing company in a great up and coming beer region. Duties include:
• Perform all cellaring functions as needed, including but not limited to CIP, SIP, dry hopping, yeast harvest, daily fermenter checks, adding finings, dropping yeast, purging tanks, scrubbing tanks, beer transfers, operating centrifuge, general cleaning etc.
• Performing all tasks in a safe and responsible manner, following SOPs and safety protocols.
• Maintaining a clean brewery environment.
• Maintaining paper and electronic records for all relevant brewery statistics including pH, gravity, CO2, dissolved oxygen etc.
• Occasional packaging work as needed.
• Other tasks as assigned by Lead Brewer and Brewmaster.
Candidates should have experience working in a commercial brewery, the ability to work independently as well as with a team, have strong attention to detail and be a good problem solver. Must also be able to lift 55+ lbs on a regular basis and safely work with hazardous chemicals. Pay commensurate upon experience.
