    Keg Creek Brewing Co. is looking for a hardworking, motivated person to join our team! Glenwood is a bedroom community of Greater Omaha. There's plenty of great bands coming to town if that is your thing. There's also lots of gravel roads to ride if you like biking. We have a 3 bbl pilot system as well as a 15 bbl production brewery. Distribution is growing throughout western and central Iowa as well as eastern Nebraska.
    The main focus of this position will be assistant to the head brewer with brewhouse and cellar work; some packaging responsibilities will also play a role as may some . We are looking for someone to work a flexible schedule based on business needs. Responsibilities and shifts are always changing, so flexibility is a must. This position reports to the Head Brewer and is an hourly position. Show dedication, hard work, and intelligence, you'll be rewarded with opportunities to grow and learn within the company.

    Job Responsibilities
    -Milling, Wort Production, Yeast harvesting and pitching
    -Brewhouse, CCV and BT cleaning
    -Assist in setup, operate, service, and maintain bottling line and keg washer/filler equipment.
    -Forklift operations
    -Stack pallets, cases, kegs and assist with general warehouse operations.
    -Perform routine preventative maintenance and cleaning of equipment and infrastructure.
    -Preform cellar duties, including CIP, sanitary transfer, and carbonation
    -Perform additional duties as assigned
    -TQM checks as assigned

    Preferred Experience and Skills
    -Good attitude and ability to work within a team
    -Prior brewing in a small brewery
    -Prior beer packaging experience
    -Meheen bottling line a plus
    -Prior beer cellar experience
    -Brewery lab experience a plus
    -EKOS Brewmaster a plus
    -Microsoft Office a plus
    -Strong mechanical background
    -Ability to multitask and manage time while being detail oriented
    -Excellent mechanical/process troubleshooting skills
    -Love of craft beer and knowledge of the industry
    -Experience in forklift/personal lift operations
    -Ability to work at a fast pace, in high pressure situations, while maintaining professionalism and composure
    -Flexible schedule and adaptive to change
    -Ability to learn quickly and apply new procedures and skills
    -Strong organizational skills
    -Is generally happy and can have fun, even on high stress and demanding days
    -Need to be self-motivated

    Physical Demands
    -Must be able to lift 55 lbs to shoulder height and team lift, push or pull 165 lbs
    -Must be able to work on your feet for 8 hours or more
    -Must be able to crouch, bend, lift, twist and reach
    -Must be willing to use ladders & lifts
    -Must be able to work in hot, cold, wet, loud, and unpredictable environments
    -Must be able to work around electricity and harsh chemicals
    -Ability to perform repetitive tasks in a production-line setting
    -This position may come into direct contact with hazardous materials such as chemicals, noise and equipment. Hazardous materials include CO2 as well as loud noises as part of the brewing process.
