  • running glycol to cooling coils

Hey, I'm wondering if anyone has run their glycol system to cooling coils. These coils would be something like this

    https://conical-fermenter.com/SP394LID-COIL-15G.html.

I can't get a solid picture of it, sorry. We would have several of these in line and I'm not sure if there would be quick disconnects or if there is a different way to hook these up that maybe someone out there has figured out. I'm getting prices from pro refrigeration as well as looking into line chillers. Thanks

I'm installing a similar system this week. Best option I have found is hydraulic quick connects for removal, cleaning, etc. I'll post a pic later this week if its a success ha.

Not to hijack, but what are you using for a bypass valve? Just a ball valve half open to create some resistance? I'm leaning this way for simplicity and maybe less load on the pump when the solenoids are closed maybe?

I'm thinking along the same route with the QD's and a ball valve will probably be incorporated.

Please post link to the QDs as the only ones ive seen with check valve/self sealing are plastic and im bit worried about durability.

Tractor supply sells a pressure regulating bypass valve in plastic or aluminum. Its in the power washer parts section. 0-300psi i believe. NPT.

Use high quality hydrailic QD valves. Probably find them easily at McMaster Carr
