Trillium Brewing Company is a family run craft brewery looking for an experienced Director of Facilities to join our growing team! The Director of Facilities is responsible for ensuring that all of Trillium's facilities are safe, clean, and that all facility systems are maintained and functioning efficiently. This position oversees a team of facilities managers and maintenance personnel. They will be responsible for addressing needs in a timely fashion while acting as the primary owner for the following systems: all brewhouse boilers and steam generators, pumps, chilled water supplies, packaging equipment, electrical service, all building envelopes, HVAC, flooring, plumbing, carpentry, and facilities maintenance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Directs team of Facilities manager and coordinators
Advances the safety-first culture
Manages the administration of the Preventative Maintenance Program
Liaise and advise project managers, engineers and vendors on facility related projects
Validates companywide compliance of OSHA and regulatory requirements
Have clear knowledge of all systems utilized by Trillium Brewing
Schedules facilities maintenance staff to maximize coverage during production operations.
Continuously improves proactive maintenance programs as they relate to facility systems.
Acts as the project manager for any facility-related projects, developing project scopes, budgets, communicating with affected parties and seeing projects through to their successful conclusion
Promotes an atmosphere of cooperation and teamwork
Works closely with the Facilities Manager to see that all preventative maintenance is well documented and completed in a timely manner
Works closely with the Facilities Manager to ensure inventory of replacement parts is maintained
Actively communicates with all departments throughout the company, systematically eliciting feedback for continuous improvement opportunities
Works to ensure facility systems are operating as efficiently as possible, minimizing waste and conserving energy
Responsible for ensuring an elevated level of cleanliness in all spaces
Ensures contractor agreements and relationships are efficient and in good standing
Proactively communicates feedback to staff with consistent staff meetings and written communication while maintaining high departmental morale
Alerts other management personnel to potential quality concerns
Tracks and records staff performance, providing periodic reviews, and utilizing progressive disciplinary measures when necessary
Analyze and assess service contracts to ensure facility management needs are being met
Ensure delivery schedules, quantity and quality criteria are met
Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.
Requirements for the role:
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
7+ years' experience in facilities team management position
Strong understanding of warehouse control systems
Knowledge of brewing processes
Experience with automated PLC systems including Siemens and/or Allen Bradley Automation
Able to read and understand complex electrical, mechanical and automation systems
Working knowledge and applied use of electrical, mechanical and HVAC systems
Deep awareness of the importance of sanitation and good maintenance practices in food processing environments
Demonstrated leadership skills
Impeccable leadership and communication skills: verbal, written
Excellent project management and organizational skills
Affinity for working in a team-environment and ability to identify common goals
Good analytical/critical thinking
Extremely detail-oriented work ethic
A self-motivated approach, requiring limited oversight
PC skills, specifically Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint)
Able to stand for long periods of time and frequently walk between locations
Able to lift up to 50 pounds
