    Melvin Brewpubs Brewer
    Title of Position: Brewpub Brewer
Reports To: General Manager/VP of Operations
    Job Description:
Melvin Brewing Company is opening its next Brewpub in the heart of East Village directly across from the new 14th Street Promenade project. We are installing a Premier 7 BBl Combi System and are looking for the right person to brew our beer. Are you an energetic, unrelenting, enthusiastic, self-motivated, self-disciplined, competitive, assertive, confident, goal-oriented self starter with the desire to succeed? If that sounds like you, and you want to work for one of the top 50 fastest growing breweries in the country, then keep reading.
The concept behind the brewpubs is three-fold. The first, is to drive the brand. The second, is to be a R&D and development for future product, and the third is to be a profitable brewpub.
With our typical 20 faucet facility, we will strive to maintain roughly a 60/40 split in favor of HOUSE beer. We will pour the core products that bring people through the door, but strive to sell them HOUSE brewed product as much as possible.
To achieve this, we will be true to our brand and always have HOUSE selections that our customer base enjoys. A local IPA, DIPA will always need to be an offering. We will then brew HOUSE beers that compliment and diversify our list. These recipes will be provided and come from our existing portfolio of proven pub brews.
Our HOUSE brewers are fist and foremost, MELVIN BREWERS. Once mandatory schedule brews have been fulfilled, HOUSE brewers will have the opportunity to brew recipes of their own. These recipes must be approved by the Director of Brewery Operation before they can be scheduled.
As a Melvin Brewing San Diego brewer, you are required to brew at least 1 brew a week during business hours (11am to 11pm). Our brewhouse is a theatre in this location and is the center piece of the facility.
