JOB TITLE: Brewer
LOCATION: Round Rock, TX
REPORTS TO: Head Brewer
FLSA POSITION TYPE: hourly, non-exempt
POSITION SUMMARY: Support brewery functions and needs as defined by the Head Brewer.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following:
•Operation of 15bbl direct fire brewhouse
•Cellar functions: i.e. beer transfers, Dry-Hopping, FV CIP, carbonation, SV CIP
•Maintain all brewlogs and transfer logs with xcel spreadsheets
•Cleaning and filling kegs.
•Safe handling of brewery chemicals for CIP
•Safely use a ladder of fork lift and man basket for dry hopping and/or tank cleaning and breakdown
•Milling and grain inventory maintenance
•Brewery cleaning and maintenance as directed by the Head Brewer.
•Support brewery staff as directed by the Head Brewer
Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.

•None
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
•Previous experience or education in the brewing industry is desirable
•Ability to work well under pressure
•Maintain flexible hours
•Ability to attend and work outside events and tasting room operations
•Ability to speak in front of groups or tours
MATERIALS/MACHINES/EQUIPMENT USED:
•Forklift (Round Rock Brewpub only)
•Semi-Automated Keg Washer
•General Brewery Equipment and Chemicals
IMPORTANT SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
•Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
•Ability to work independently and in a team with minimal direct supervison
•Self Starter and motivated to continually learn and grow as a member of the craft beer industry.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS:

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
•Performance duties of this job include regularly being required to sit, stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; talk, hear, and smell.
•Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and lift and/or move up to 185 lbs.
•Ability to frequently reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and climb.
•Must be able to critically assess beer quality in moderation and safely as directed by the Head Brewer.
•Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
•Primarily work will be done in the brewpubs with occasional travel between multiple brewpubs and company office.
