Mountain Fork Brewery has an immediate opening for a Head Brewer. This is an exciting opportunity open to someone with production experience on a larger system. We have a taproom and restaurant with twenty taps and currently distribute four core beers canned on a first class Palmer 12/1 line. Our three vessel 20bbl brewhouse is enhanced with electronic flow meters for strike and kettle fill volumes along with a spent grain auger. The fermentation vessels are 40bbl along with 5bbl small batch fermenters for taproom creations. The brewer will be supported by an assistant and a cellerman. Responsibilities include:
Maintain inventory levels for taproom and distribution through brew schedule and packaging schedule
Set and uphold safe SOP’s
Order raw materials
Manage brews from grain to glass
Create exciting new brews as well as maintain consistency of core beers
Coordinate staff schedules and train bartenders on beer talking points
Care for brewery equipment and manage any vendor repairs
Cleaning and more cleaning
The ideal candidate will have production experience and have a game plan to increase production to current capacity of 6000 bbl/yr and beyond.
Will provide: Housing, insurance and bonuses.
Salary based on experience.
