The Cape May Brewery is searching for a passionate beer-lover to join our Brewing Department team in Cape May, NJ. We are a rapidly growing company and currently one of the top craft breweries in New Jersey. We are looking for someone who is energetic and passionate about high-quality craft beer, and willing to work hard with our fantastic team of brewers. This is a full-time salaried position that comes with benefits.

Job description:
Work directly with the Director of Brewing Operations to facilitate all things involved with the Packaging crew within the Production Department, including training, quality maintenance, equipment maintenance, personnel managing, data recording, and material inventory & ordering at one of New Jersey’s fastest growing craft breweries.

Duties:
-Facilitate training of all new employees and further training (as required) of any current employees,
-Maintain all Standard Operating Procedures and adjust any as needed,
-Ensure all quality standards are being adhered to and facilitate any changes that are needed to bring any below standard results back in line, as well as make quality improvements beyond current standards where applicable,
-Design a preventative maintenance plan for all packaging equipment,
-Manage all personnel within the Packaging crew of the Production Department,
-Ensure all required data points are being properly recorded,
-Maintain an up-to-date inventory of all packaging materials and order these materials as needed,
-Sensory analysis of various products,
-Be a senior resource for all areas of the brewery, as a member of the leadership team.

Qualifications:
-21 or older,
-Higher education degree or certificate,
-At least two years experience in the packaging department of a production brewery or similar packaging experience,
-Applicant must have an enthusiasm for craft beer and a desire to work hard to make great beer!

Requirements:
-Must love beer!
-Work at height,
-Work in a hot environment,
-Stand for extended periods of time,
-Operate a forklift and powered hand truck,
-Safely handle hazardous chemicals,
-Willing and able to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings and evenings.
