  • Magic Hat - 2nd Shift Wild Goose Canning Operator - Burlington VT

Born in the early days of Vermont’s craft brewing history, Magic Hat has been making beer in the Burlington, VT area since 1994. We’ve made a name for ourselves through odd notions, elaborate elixirs and a solid commitment to our employees and to our great state of Vermont. To support our whims and obligations, we’re continuously investing and growing our brewery. We’ve added tank space and new equipment, as well as, a 5-barrel pilot system to create even more of the innovative, delicious beers you have come to expect from us. And our most recent change to the brewery is that you are now able to enjoy full pints with a tasty meal in the Artifactory! Interested in joining our team? Read below for more info on our open Production position!

Getting beer to all our consumers means a lot of work in what we call the Packaging Department. We currently have an opening for a Can Line Operator on 2nd shift (3 – 11:30PM). While running the Can Line is your main responsibility, you may work in bottling or kegging depending on the needs on any given day. You would perform a variety of tasks from line set up, to monitoring production, to cleaning, and everything in between. This role is scheduled for 5 days a week but flexibility is required as producing beer is sometimes unpredictable and we do work some overtime and weekends, on occasion.

Making exceptional beer can be extremely rewarding but not necessarily glamorous! These positions are physical in nature and therefore requires the ability to: lift of up to 55 lbs occasionally; be on your feet for your entire shift; and do repetitive work for extended periods of time. The work environment includes working around machinery, handling hazardous materials and exposure to high noise levels.

    Our ideal candidate will have:
    • Familiarity with the brewing industry
    • Familiarity with a Wild Goose can filler
    • Experience in a manufacturing or production environment
    • Attention to detail
    • Flexibility and interest in doing whatever task is assigned

All our jobs come with awesome benefits, competitive pay, including a quarterly bonus opportunity, generous paid time off and of course, free beer (for those who are over 21!). Job offers are contingent on physical, background check, and hair drug test (we do not exclude for positive marijuana result).

North American Breweries is committed to leveraging the talent of a diverse workforce to create great opportunities for our business and our people. EOE/AA Minority/Female/Disability/Vet
