Our brewery is growing and needs very motivated and inspired individuals to help us grow in to the next phase of the brewery. Experience is definitely a plus, but if you are a positive person and can contribute in a meaningful manner, you will fit in just fine. We need team players that will come in here, contribute immediately, kick ass and not require a lot of supervision. We all have a lot of stuff to do!
The Assistant Brewer will report to the Head Brewer and will be tasked with brewing the beer to send down the line. Being a small brewery, this person will also need to be flexible and comfortable in working in the other areas of the brewery, from production, cellaring and packaging.
The Cellarman also reports to the Head Brewer. Other responsibilities include making sure the beer tanks are clean, beer is carbonated and ready to send to packaging. This person will be cleaning. A lot. From tanks, floors, drains, hoses, etc... this role is crucial to ensuring that we are sending out the cleanest, most delicious beer we possibly can.
Other duties, requirements and conditions to keep in mind:
• Able to stand for long periods of time (up to 8-10 hours per day).
• Able to lift materials up to 55 lbs. repeatedly.
• Able to work in wet, tight or cramped spaces.
• Able to work in an environment with high noise levels.
• Able to work with hazardous chemicals.
• Able to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (boots, gloves, apron, eye protection, etc.)
• Exposure to hot fluids.
• Exposure to particulate atmospheres.
• Exposure to variable temperature levels. The brewery is not temperature controlled!
• Wet, slippery floors.
• Wet clothing.
• Performing job with and around moving machinery.
We use ekos_brewmaster, so being comfortable around a computer and inputting data is definitely required.
