Star san in ferm cip?

Forgot that I ran out of my go to cip sanitizer but have some star san left over... how big of a pain in the ass is this stuff through a spray ball in a ferm? Any tips from anyone that's used this? I know itll foam a lot.. rinse after? Thanks

You more than likely won't even be able to recirc it due to the foam. I recall once running out of a non foaming iodine sani and trying to use star san but it foamed up immediately and cavitated the pump.
