    Fort Point is an independent San Francisco brewery made up of people who believe the simple things in life can be a whole lot better.

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    We're looking for someone to help run the show at our brewery that sits on the beautiful Crissy Field in the Presidio, overlooking the Bay. Our focus: safety, quality, a positive work environment for our team to develop their brewing skills. If you care about the details and enjoy problem solving, we want to talk with you.

    The Production Manager ensures wort moves efficiently from the brewhouse to be ready for packaging. Their main responsibilities are enforcing safeguards at our critical control points, maintaining record keeping and data logging, and updating scheduling and workflows. This person must be capable of managing designated production employees, working with other Production Managers and finding swift solutions to problems as they arise.


    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    - Act as Person in Charge (PIC) on the production floor--including emergency response readiness
    - Train employees on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
    - Ensure employment policy compliance: shift breaks and overtime tracking
    - Troubleshoot problems brought up by Production staff
    - Coordinate with other Production Managers to ensure all production procedures are followed
    - Execute all duties of Brewery Technician role
    - Assist with day to day planning of process and procedures.
    - Inventory raw materials
    - Facilitate communication across production
    - Task based scheduling
    - Enforcement of regulations and standards (OSHA, GMP, House Rules)


    EXPERIENCE:

    - 3+ years of production facility experience (Brewery specific is a plus)
    - Google Suite (Sheets, Docs)
    - Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
    - Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment
    - Experience executing maintenance on manufacturing equipment strongly preferred
    - Must be 21 years of age or older at the time of application


    REQUIRED SKILLS:

    - Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
    - Demonstrated mechanical ability & technical aptitude
    - Team player with the ability to work autonomously
    - Ability to analyze problems, identify solutions and implement procedures for solutions
    - Must able to work autonomously with focus and determination
    - Excellent communication skills


    EQUIPMENT OPERATION:

    - Operate canning line and auxiliary equipment
    - Operate forklift, scissor lift and manual and powered pallet jack
    - Centrifugal pump
    - Density meter, pH meter, microscope, and general lab equipment
    - Centrifuge
    - Brewhouse - Mash mixer, lauter tun, kettle, whirlpool
