Blichmann Barrel Extender.. Worth it? Geometry?

Thinking of using a Blichmann Barrel extender to increase the size of my brewhouse to 3bbls

Would the mash be adversely affected by the tall geometry of the double tall 55gal drum?
What about the boil kettle?

Please explain.
