    Overview:
    Stonehome Brewing Co. is a full service brewpub established in 2016 in Watford City, North Dakota. Stonehome specializes in pizza and pasta but offers a variety unlike anywhere around. We currently have 16 tap lines with the ability to grow to 24. Stonehome is part of Six Shooters LLC, which prides itself on offering an inviting gathering space for all its guests. We are a family owned and operated business and value our team members and their success within our company.
    The Watford City brewery operates with a 15 bbl steam heated brewhouse with 3 vessels (HLT, MLT, KWP) and a cellar that includes 1 30 bbl FV, 5 15 bbl FVs, and 2 15 bbl BTs. We have just recently expanded to a 2nd location in Bismarck, ND. The Bismarck location features an electric 3.5 bbl brew house with 3 3.5 bbl Uni-Tanks from Blichmann Engineering. We currently produce approximately 75 bbls monthly to supply both locations as well as a growing distribution market.
    We are looking for an experienced brewer to take over operations in Watford City. The candidate is expected to maintain and improve upon current portfolio as well as build the portfolio with new and innovative styles. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join us in growing our brand further.

    Education and Experience:
    • High school diploma or GED required, relevant College degree preferred
    • Formal brewing education not required but must be knowledgeable in sciences pertaining to the brewing processes and control thereof
    • Minimum of 2 years experience of professional brewing required
    • Computer Literate

    Physical and Mental Requirements:
    • Ability to stand for extended periods of time, walk, crouch, kneel, crawl, bend, and perform repetitive motions of the hands and/or wrists
    • Ability to climb and work on a ladder
    • Ability to lift up to 55 pounds above head and move up to 165 lbs repeatedly using traditional methods
    • Excellent time management, prioritization, and delegating of tasks
    • Ensure proper use of all cleaning/sanitizing chemicals/agents and adherence to all prescribed safety protocols
    • Ability to work in a fast paced environment yet be precise in daily tasks

    Responsibilities Include but Not Limited To:
    • Manage all operations of the brewery in a safe manner
    • Milling, wort production, dry hopping, filtration, cellar work, including fermenter/bright tank CIP, beer transfer, packaging, barrel work etc.
    • Detailed record keeping and quality control reporting is a must
    • Ability to maintain inventories of raw and finished goods
    • TTB paperwork (Excise tax, brewers report, etc) and production filings (will have help on this)
    • Use proper operating, cleaning and preventative maintenance procedures
    • Help maintain and develop brewery SOPs
    • Upscale current recipes, develop and write new recipes
    • Mentor and train staff on brewing processes as well as general beer knowledge
    • Participate in festivals and promotional events when available
    • Public tours, education, tastings and interaction with brewery guests
    • Assist in future planning for growth
    • Perform and maintain all laboratory work
    • Assist in the interviewing and hiring of new staff as needed
    • An understanding of quality assurance (QA) methods and techniques, laboratory operations, and basic knowledge of chemistry and biology
    • Oversee the quality control/yeast/tasting department; ensure the work is high-quality and accurate.
    • Full availability throughout the week: ability to work morning, mid-day, evening, and or weekend shifts when necessary
    • Attend meetings as necessary to update on status or changes of brewery operations
    • All candidates must have and maintain an acceptable driving record
    • Knowledge and skill maintaining steam boiler
    • Knowledge and skill maintaining RO water filtration system
    • Help/Input in design of merchandise
    • Work with wholesalers and maintain keg inventory accordingly
