Boomtown Brewery is looking for a Lead Brewer to join our team. We are located in the heart of the Art District in Downtown LA. We are a growing brewery that will be doubling in production this year. There is a great team in place and we are looking to keep the quality up during these times of growth. With the growth we will have plenty of room for upward movement within the company.
RESPONSIBILIES:
Act as Person In Charge on production floor
Train employees on Standard Operating Procedures
Trouble shoot any problems from production staff
Coordinate with Head Brewer and Brewery Manager on production
Schedule daily task schedules
Help complete daily tasks such as milling, brewing, racking, CIPing, dry hopping, gravities, etc.
Safety Leader: enforce all safety regulations and standards
EXPERIENCE:
3+ years of small production experience (10-20bbl brewhouse)
High level skills on a manual (analog) brewhouse
Ekos Brewmaster a plus
Google Suite
Any maintainance experience a plus
Must be 21+ years of age
SKILLS REQUIRED:
Strong analytical and critical thinking
Mechanical and technical aptitude
Team player yet able to work autonomously
Ability to analyze problems, identify solutions and implement procedures for solutions
Able to lift 55lbs
Focused and calm under pressure
EQUIPMENT OPERATIONS:
Brewhouse- Mash mixer, lauter tun, kettle, whirlpool
Canning Line
Centrifugal Pump
Fork lift
Basic Lab- pH meter, microscope, forced D-test
Centrifuge- experience a plus
