Free Will Brewing Company is seeking a Brewer
Free Will Brewing Company, Perkasie, PA, is a growing production brewery specializing in making inventive, flavorful ales and lagers. We are looking to add a full-time brewer/cellar person to our team.
Summary of Brewer Position
The most qualified candidate will become part the Free Will Brewing Company team and will participate in all facets of brewhouse and cellar operations including but not limited to wort production, clarification, yeast management, record keeping, and fermentation management.
Job Requirements
• 1-5 years’ experience in a production brewery or brewpub
• Completion of a brewing-science program desired
• Flexible work schedule: Day, evenings, and weekend shifts required
• Strong communication skills, problem solving skills and attention to detail
Duties and Responsibilities
• Perform wort production of a variety styles of beer on a 15 barrel 3-vessel brewhouse
• Beer clarification: centrifuge operation
• Strong communication, planning, and organizational skills
• Maintain documentation in an accurate and timely manner
• Perform quality control and quality assurance testing
• Actively find improvements for the beer and our processes
• Must be willing to pitch in on tasks outside your key responsibilities
• Participation in on-site and off-site events
Abilities and Skills
• Must be able to lift 55 lbs and move 165 lbs occasionally
• Must be able to stand for 8-10 hours per day
• Must be competent with MS Office, Google Docs
• Must be able to operate a forklift (training provided)
• Ability to frequently reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
