    Warehouse Associate Job Description
    Working under the guidance of the Facilities and Logistics Manager, the Warehouse Associate is responsible for performing a variety of duties related to warehouse activity, trucking needs and general production assistance. In the warehouse, he or she will perform inventory counting of finished goods and raw materials, ensuring that inventories are accurate and up to date and the warehouse remains well organized and clean. The Warehouse Associate will pull and palletize beer orders for both wholesale distribution as well as deliveries to our pubs, ensuring all pallets are properly wrapped and labeled for shipping on a timely basis. The Warehouse Associate will deliver pub orders, as well as any other required items, to Cascade’s two Portland pubs, assisting with the inventory “check-in” of kegs and cases with assigned pub staff and loading inventory into designated locations at each pub. Other trucking duties will be required of this position as needed, including the pick-up and/or delivery of materials for production needs. The Warehouse Associate is also responsible for assisting production with a wide variety of tasks at both Brewery and Blending House locations as necessary with a focus on packaging, labeling, fruit processing and barrel preparation and cleaning. The Warehouse Associate must perform all duties safely and efficiently, with effective communication, attention to detail and the ability to readily adapt to changes in schedule or priorities. Lastly, the Warehouse Associate must be team-oriented and willing to positively contribute to the culture of Cascade Brewing with strength of character, initiative, self-motivation and accountability, and a desire to be an active part of the vibrant craft brewing industry.



    Warehouse Duties
    o Perform regular counting and reporting of warehouse inventory, including kegs, cases, packaging materials, pallets, raw materials, barrels and packing supplies
    o Review delivery orders for pub and distribution sales for accuracy and inventory availability
    o Pull inventory from warehouse for pub and distribution sales orders
    o Build and wrap pallets for distribution shipping
    o Calculate weights for pallet shipments based on contents
    o Create Bill of Lading documents for shipping/receiving
    o Operate forklift safely and proficiently
    o Maintain organized warehouse/cooler space to optimize space and efficiency
    o Manage empty keg fleet inventory
    o Perform general facilities maintenance tasks
    o Adhere to established safety standards for warehouse operations

    Trucking Duties
    o Safely operate 21-foot box truck
    o Perform inter-company deliveries between three facilities
    o Load keg and case deliveries into pub coolers and assist with inventory check-in procedure
    o Perform other pickup/delivery tasks as needed for production needs
    o Ensure truck remains clean and in good working order through preventative maintenance, repair scheduling and regular safety checklist review
    o Maintain daily trucking log including dates, deliveries, times and mileage
    o Safely and efficiently load/unload truck, ensuring all loads are secure during transport and cross-dock activity
    o Communicate regularly with staff at all three facilities regarding trucking duties and delivery schedule via phone and email
    o Regularly check and update daily trucking schedule boards

    Production Assistant Duties
    o Assist with bottling runs including glass on/glass off, pallet building and stacking
    o Assist with bottle labeling and labeler machine operation
    o Perform barrel work including preparation for filling and cleaning after emptying
    o Assist with fruit processing and additions to tank and barrel
    o Assist with keg cleaning and filling
    o Assist with general production operations at both brewing and blending facilities

    Requirements
    o Must be 21 or older with high school diploma or GED
    o Must possess an OR state drivers’ license and a clean driving record.
    o Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs. and able to maneuver up to 165 lbs.
    o Must possess forklift driver certification or have the ability to obtain one with company sponsored training
    o Must be capable of standing for an 8 hour shift
    o Must have basic algebra and computation skills
    o Must have familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Outlook
    o Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
    o Must be highly motivated and detail oriented
    o Must possess strong interpersonal skills
    o Must have a desire to work in a fast-paced environment with a growing company
    o Must have an appreciation of the craft brewing industry and desire to engage in its culture
    o Must have a positive attitude, patience and an ability to readily adapt to unexpected changes in schedule
    o Previous commercial trucking and forklift experience strongly encouraged
