Position: Packaging/Warehouse
Job Type: Full Time, hourly
Location: Sarasota
Big Top Brewing Company, established in 2014, is in search for a new employee to join our team. We pride ourselves on creating great beer all while defying what you thought possible in beer. We brew a large portfolio of year-round offerings; seasonal and special one offs. We run a 30BBL, 2-vessel brewhouse filling, 30, 60 and 90 BBL tanks. Our 1BBL pilot system allows staff to flex creativity and push beer flavors to the extreme. We are operating both in Sarasota along with Pensacola, FL, where a satellite brewery and tasting room just opened. Pensacola features a 5BBL electric brewhouse with 4, 10BBL fermenters. We are working on opening our second satellite location in Gainesville, FL with the same set up.
We are looking for the right individual to help us package beer to the highest quality standards, maintain a well organized warehouse and handle the majority of shipping and receiving.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Kegging
• Canning
• Keg Washing
• CIP and COP of packaging equipment
• General tidiness
• Maintain an organized warehouse
• Organize orders
• Load and unload trucks
• Forklift operation
Knowledge and Skills
• Organizational skills
• Forklift operation
• The ability to read, understand and follow verbal directions
• The ability to read, understand and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
• Ability to climb ladders and work in confined spaces
• Be able to work flexible hours
• A strong work ethic and the ability to multi-task
• Solid problem-solving skills
• The ability to work well independently, as well as part of a team
• Mechanical aptitude
Minimum Education and/or Experience required:
• High School Diploma or GED
• Brewery experience is considered a plus
• Forklift certification and experience considered a plus
The brewery regularly exposes the employee to wet, hot, cold, dusty, noisy environments. You will be expected to follow safety procedures set forth to ensure the safety of the team and yourself. You will frequently stand, twist, kneel, bend and climb. The position requires you to frequently lift 55# and safely maneuver 170#.
