    LIC Beer Project is seeking a passionate, technically gifted, quality focused, safety driven, and a team oriented brewer to join our project! You'll take ownership of the brewing processes on your scheduled shift (currently 9 hours). We seek an accountable, reliable person who takes immense pride in their work. You must be able to closely adhere to procedures.

    Job Summary:
    The Shift Brewer is responsible for the production of our beers, management of cellar staff. Will complete all facets of the brewing process including brew house operations, cellaring, packaging, and raw material ordering.

    Brewhouse operations: Milling, Mashing, Lautering, Boiling, Whirlpooling, Knockout, Grains out, Brewhouse Vessel CIP (incl Heat Exchanger and Hot Liquor Heat Exchanger)
 


    Cellar-Related operations: Fermenter CIP/Scrub/Sanitation, Cell Counting, Checking Gravities/Monitoring fermentation, Capping/ Chilling/ Dry hopping schedule and procedures, Yeast Disposal, BBT Cleaning and Sanitizing, Recording fermentations, Reading BBT levels and recording, Checking DO and Co2 in beer
.


    Packaging operations: Carbonation of beer, Filtering, keg filling, manual bottle filling, CO2 measurement finished beer
 


    Quality Assurance Operations: Cell Counts, Pitch Rates, Gravity Measurements, DO Measurements, Process Sampling, Yeast Viability Measurement, Taste Panel


    Other: Effluent processing as it relates to the above operations, Cleaning and organizing standards, Daily record of activities accurately and legibly recorded.

    Physical Demands:
    Physical working conditions are required with this position. Working in, on and around vessels and pipes under pressure containing air, CO2, water, beer, chemicals, steam, and hazardous chemicals is commonplace. Process temperatures vary from 2 C to 100 C, which causes varying ambient temperature conditions. Handling objects up to 100 pounds require moderate physical activity occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds frequently.

    What you need to be part of LIC Beer Project:
    The successful candidate for this role will have an education from an accredited brewing school or a minimum of 4 years professional brewing experience. Please email daniel@licbp.com
