Job Description
Wiens Brewing Company in Temecula, CA is adding a full-time Taproom manager to our Team. The Taproom manager will be responsible for the day-today operations of the Taproom, our Barrel Club, and events.
Duties and Responsibilities
Lead by example
Meet with Sales, Production, Marketing, and General Manager on a regular basis to maximize brand education and pass this on to WBC Taproom staff
Interview, hire, and train WBC Taproom staff and ensure policies and procedures are followed
Schedule all staff for WBC Taproom and events
Develop, maintain, and follow Opening, Closing, and Cash Handling procedures
Maintain and order all necessary supplies for WBC Taproom operations
Maintain and inventory WBC Taproom merchandise
Manage, grow, and improve the Barrel Club
Manage, plan, and execute special events in the Taproom
Clean and maintain the draft system and other taproom equipment
Assist in promoting and marketing the Taproom
Maintain self-education on WBC brands and the craft beer industry
Ensure that the WBC Taproom is a safe and clean working environment
Ensure that all customers and WBC Taproom staff are following the rules and regulations established by the State of California, Alcohol Beverage Control, County of Riverside, City of Temecula, and Wiens Brewing
Additional duties as assigned
Experience, Skills, and Qualifications
Minimum 21 years of age
Passion for and knowledge of craft beer
Experience working in a Supervisory or Management position
Previous beertender or bartender experience
Event Planning experience a plus
Obtain L.E.A.D. training and card
High School Diploma or equivalent
Outgoing personality
Strong customer service, communication, and organization skills
Cicerone Certified Beer Server
Homebrewing/Brewing experience a plus
Work Environment and Physical Demands
Ability to maneuver a 165lb keg (1/2bbl keg)
Must be able to work full-time, including weekends, evenings and holidays. Opening and closing the Taproom will be required many days of the week
Ability to stand for long periods, repeatedly stooping, crouching, kneeling, and other physical tasks necessary for operating the Taproom
