    Position Type: Part-Time transitioning to Full-Time General/Sales Manager
    Company Overview: Gravity Brewing is a small and growing Craft Brewery located in one of the best places to live in America; Louisville, CO. Based on a strong appreciation and knowledge of science and engineering, Gravity Brewing takes the art and technique of brewing quite seriously. Gravity Brewing is always striving to push the envelope of conventional brewing, while maintaining a strong regard for tradition and authenticity. Gravity Brewing has been producing Award-Winning beer since August 2012. Gravity Brewing operates a 10 BBL brewhouse and an 1800 square-foot Retail Tasting Room. Our current production is roughly 650 BBLs per year, with a current capacity of 1200 BBLs (2500 BBL capacity at full build-out of current location). We currently employ 7 people and have 2 Managing Owners/Partners. Gravity Brewing is seeking an experienced General/Sales Manager, reporting to the Owners.

    Job Description: Gravity Brewing seeks an energetic, passionate, ambitious, entrepreneurial-minded General/Sales Manager for our progressive and growing Brewery/Tasting Room in Louisville, CO. Responsibilities include overseeing Wholesale Sales, Distribution, Accounting/Bookkeeping/Taxes, and General Management of a Craft Brewery. The right candidate will be business-minded, driven, efficient, quality-focused, have a great work ethic, a positive attitude and be a team player. The General/Sales Manager must be a self-starting, independent problem solver while participating with the rest of the management team (reporting to and collaborating with Owners), as well as interact with and educate customers. This unique role in a small competitive business environment will require the General/Sales Manager to wear many hats; no task should be too large or to too small and delegation is not always the best solution.

    Job Responsibilities:
    • Person with strong leadership skills, business management experience, attention to detail, craft beer experience/passion, positive attitude, conflict resolution, and ability to work under pressure.
    • Manager of Sales Representatives, Tasting Room Manager (TRM), Bartenders (with TRM assistance). The General/Sales Manager reports to the Owners.
    • Sales – Support TRM, Bartenders and Owners in Tasting Room Retail Sales. A constant effort must be made to increase Tasting Room Sales and bring more and more people in the door.
    • Wholesale Sales – Ultimately responsible for Wholesale Sales and Distribution management w/ support from Sales Representatives, Brewers and Owners. This includes both leading our self-distribution territory and managing our 3rd party delivery service.
    • Responsible for Marketing including Social Media by supervising and assisting the TRM, Bartenders, and Sales Team. Marketing strategy/direction provided by Owners.
    • Responsible for Purchasing & Inventory including Merchandise, Office Supplies, Tasting Room Supplies, etc. with TRM assistance.
    • Responsible for Monthly Beer and Hop Inventory with Brewer’s assistance.
    • Responsible for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable (Invoicing).
    • Daily/Weekly/Monthly cash management (bank deposits & withdrawals) with TRM’s assistance.
    • Process Bi-weekly Payroll with TRM and Owners assistance/approval.
    • Work with TRM to manage/maintain Square Point of Sale System (POS) and Untappd Menu system on a daily basis.
    • Work with TRM to coordinate Special Events including private parties, special beer releases, beer dinners w/ Gastronauts, anniversary party, etc.
    • Responsible for scheduling and staffing Beer Festivals. Owners will assist in selection of Beer Festivals.
    • Monthly Staff Meetings – Shared responsibility w/ TRM and Owners.
    • Maintain workplace safety while upholding quality standards.
    • Exceed customer expectations and create an emotional bond that reinforces the brand position and brand strategy.
    • Flexibility and willingness to work on weekends, as needed.
    • Greeting, interacting with, and educating customers on product/general company information.
    • Constantly evolving knowledge of Gravity’s ever-changing list of 18+ draft beers.
    • Complete side work/projects.
    • Work with Owners on Growth/Expansions Plans/Projects.

    Essential Job Skills/Qualifications:
    • A great personality is essential. Being outgoing, friendly, and a team player is key.
    • Bachelor’s Degree (Business Degree preferred) and 4+ years of General Management and/or Sales/Marketing Experience.
    • Experience and proven track record managing a staff of +/- 10 people.
    • Distribution & Sales/Marketing experience desired.
    • Craft Beer Knowledge and Experience desired.
    • Finance Management skills desired.
    • Strong computer skills. Microsoft software (Word, Outlook, Excel). QuickBooks.
    • Experience/familiarity with Square Point of Sale (POS).
    • Excellent communication skills (spoken & written).
    • Organizational skills – is able to triage and prioritize both day to day and longer term projects, allocating time to both urgent and non-urgent but important projects.
    • Personally organized to the point of being capable of driving others’ organization and holding the group accountable to shared commitments.
    • Lead by setting a professional and upbeat example. Ability to motivate staff.
    • Need to be self-motivated and passionate.
    • Strong work ethic. Can-do attitude.
    • Ability to multitask and manage time while being detail oriented.
    • Flexible schedule (available weekends if/when needed). Ability to work a variety of hours as business levels are affected by season.
    • Reliable transportation, valid unrestricted driver’s license.
    • Possess a mechanical aptitude and strong troubleshooting skills.
    • Must be able to bend over, twist, kneel, stand, lift 55 pounds and maneuver 160 pounds.
    • The workspace can be crowded and the floor can be slippery so caution with urgency must be practiced.
    • Ability to work in a Team Environment: Ability to work with a diverse group of people.
    • Ability to deal with conflict and difficult/awkward situations.
    • Ability to work independently. Self-Learner/Teacher. Leader.
    • Ability to be calm and flexible while working through high-stress situations.
    • Attention to Detail: Holding the highest standard of quality and never cutting any corners.
