Position Title: Brewer, QA/QC
About the Position:
Twin Sisters Brewing Company, a new 15 Hectoliter brewery, tasting room, and beer garden is located in Sunnyland Neighborhood of Bellingham, WA. Opening Spring 2018, Twin Sisters Brewing Company and Bellingham Beer Garden will focus on quality, yet approachable beer, a kitchen prioritizing local scratch ingredients, and educated and service minded staff.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Monitor gravities, pH, pressure, temperature, cell counts, CO2, O2
Transfer and package beer: keg, bottle, cans
Yeast management – harvest, pitch, cell counts
Milling grain – lifting 55lb bags, maintain grain storage organization and cleanliness
CIP – all vessels, yeast propagators, brewhouse, etc.
Fill out and maintain all associated paperwork
Receive deliveries – malt/hop/yeast/chemicals
Lead QA/QC
QA/QC monitoring and management
Lead tasting panels and off-flavor analysis
Qualifications:
Must be at least 21 years of age
Attention to detail and organization
Accurate data entry
Ability to follow SOPs per Twin Sisters Brewing standards
The highest regard for maintaining a clean work environment
Safety focused
Good communication skills
Flexible schedule
Passionate about producing a high-quality product
