  • Lead Brewer Position in Northern Colorado

    We are currently seeking a lead brewer for a growing brewery in Northern Colorado. We produce a wide range of (mostly) ales, including kettle sours and barrel aged and currently package in kegs, bottles, and cans to supply our distributor and taproom. There is lots of room for creativity and exploration in both styles and processes. Duties include every process of making beer from receiving malt orders to loading packaged beer for delivery, including, but not limited to:

    - All aspects of wort production including following and adjusting recipes, record keeping, and CIP procedures.
    - Cellar operations including yeast management, carbonation, record keeping, and making sure beer is ready for packaging.
    - Packaging duties such as keg cleaning and maintenance, keg filling, cooler and stock organization. Meheen experience a plus.
    - Lots of cleaning. Lots.
    - Following and creating SOPs.
    - Keeping and updating inventory for materials and packaged product.
    - Maintenance of brewery equipment.

    Our ideal applicant will:
    - Have at least 2 years in a commercial brewery, but this is not a deal breaker.
    - Be experienced in recipe formulation and educated in beer styles.
    - Be mechanically inclined and able to perform basic maintenance.
    - Be flexible in duties and roles within the company (helping with festivals, etc.)
    - Communicate effectively with co workers and the public.
    - Be excited to grow production and give input on processes.
