  • Looking for a Brewer to join the Red Oak Brew Crew

    Red Oak Brewery in Whitsett, NC is hiring a Brewer to join our team. This is a full time position. Our Brewers are involved in all aspects of brewing. The Red Oak Brewhouse is a 3 vessel, 42.5 Bbl Rolec system designed for decoction mashing. We practice a two-tank fermentation regimen transferring from Primary CCV’s to Secondary Lagertanks. Our Lagers are brewed according to the Reinheitsgebot and are released unfiltered, unpasteurized and naturally carbonated. We seek an accountable, reliable person who is adverse to cutting corners and takes immense pride in the work they produce. You must be able to closely adhere to procedures and guidelines, including following recipes per exact specification and implementing detailed cleaning regimens.

    Responsibilities will include:
    • Performing all Brewhouse duties
    • Cleaning/Sanitation operating our two CIP Systems
    • Cellar work
    • Operating our Gruber Keg Machine and SBC Bottling Line
    • Participation in other aspects of the business as needed
    • Being a proactive member of a small team of 5-6 Brewers working varied shifts and hours all days of the week.
    • Contributing in shift hand over, passing over all necessary information to the next Brewers on shift to ensure a smooth transition between shifts.
    • Ensuring clear channels of communication.
    • Performing sanitation tasks safely and efficiently.

    Requirements:
    • In-depth knowledge of the brewing process
    • A positive attitude, attention to detail and strong work ethic
    • Ability to accept constructive criticism
    • Ability to repeatedly lift 55 lbs. and move 165 lbs.
    • A flexible schedule and willingness to work any shift (including weekends)
    • Ability to work in a fast paced brewery environment while focused on precision
    • Ability to work independently and within a team
