    The Church Brew Works in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania is seeking a Cellar Person for our Brewpub and Boutique Brewery.
    This Opportunity creates the dual enjoyment of brewing creative Ales and Lagers in a brewpub environment as well as packaging GABF Medal Winning Ales and Lagers for the regional market. The Church Brew Works has been in business since 1996 and is a 100% Debt Free operation with the original founder and ownership structure still in place. CBW was the 2012 GABF Large Brewpub of the year. Legendary Beer critic Michael Jackson described this venue as one of the most beautiful breweries in the World.

    Packaging includes a dual head 5 liter mini keg Can filler, a 4 head filler for 750ml champagne style bottles, half kegs and sixtels. The brewhouse is a 15bbl Mash Tun, 15 BBL Lauter and 20BBL Kettle Whirlpool (2015 vintage) & 40 BBL Hot Liquor Tank with about 35 fermenters and brite tanks. All hot tanks are steam jacketed and were built new by Specific Mechanical Systems. A new Palmer Tech Can rotary counter pressure can line will be operational in 2019 . On Premise draft is served via glycol jacketed 2016 Vintage QTS serving tanks.

    The Church Brew Works has decoction mash capabilities for lagers, deadicated tanks for aging Brett Beers, barrel aging, beer engines in the brewpub for on premise cask beers
    Expectations are the cellar person will have a grasp of yeast management, tank cleaning , pull samples for microtesting, & exhibit positive verbal communication skills. The position will allow active participation in producing casks ales and barrel aged beers and growth into becoming a brewer. Applicant must be able to lift 55#s

    This is a Midwest style city with four Seasons and the opportunity to brew beers for warm summers and cold winters. There is a certain Yinzer culture in Pittsburgh whereby we take pride in our sports teams, take pride in our city and take pride in our brewing tradition.
    Pittsburgh is a becoming national known for its culinary and libation scene as well.

    Pay will be commensurate with experience.
