Big Boss Brewing Company is looking for a qualified candidate to fill the role of Jr. Cellar Person. Located in Raleigh, North Carolina, Big Boss Brewing creates a full array of craft beer. Our 20 barrel brewhouse is increasing production and we are in search for a motivated and passionate individual to join our team and support our growth.
Duties:
The position of Jr. Cellarman will encompass all aspects of packaging and CIP operations within the brewery with future opportunities in cold cellar operations and hot side operations. This will include, but not be limited to:
· Verifying beer carbonation levels are in spec.
· CIP/SIP of bottling, canning, and keg racking equipment
· Operation of packaging lines (bottling, canning, and keg racking equipment)
· Maintain packaging inventory (bottles, cans, labels, cartons, 6 pack carriers)
· Daily Reporting of packaged inventory and CIP log
· Tank CIP and SIP
· Cellar Operations to include beer transfers and centrifuge operations including CIP and SIP.
· Hot Side Operation to include brewhouse CIP and brewhouse operation on an as needed basis.
Job Requirements:
· Must reside within the Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill region and have dependable means of transportation.
· Wake Tech Level 2 Brewing Course Work a plus (other experience may be substituted).
· Prior brewing experience a plus.
· Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
· Ability to work safely with hazardous chemicals, pressurized vessels, and high temperatures.
· Ability to frequently kneel, crouch, stand, and sit.
· Ability to lift and/or move object up to 150lbs
· Critical attention to detail a must.
· Must be comfortable in a non-climate controlled environment.
