Brewmaster / Production Manager
D9 Brewing Company, in Lake Norman, N.C., was started by two engineers and a doctor, with a mission to inspire and support community through the creation of exciting and original crafted ales. Since our inception in late 2014, we have invested in the scientific exploration of the natural world to produce the highest quality, and unquestionably original, crafted ales. D9 Brewing is striving to become the leading producer of mixed wild fermented beer in the southeastern United States, and has been awarded multiple prestigious medals in the sour and mixed-wild categories at the Great American Beer Festival (2016/2018).
The Brewmaster is responsible for all aspects of production. They lead the brewhouse team, cellar team, packaging team, innovation and quality team, supply chain team and shipping team. The Brewmaster maintains the integrity and production goals of the brewery and its operations by setting and achieving brewery SOPs and schedules. They also have the ability to perform all aspects of production from grain to glass.
Qualifications:
-Minimum 7 years in a professional brewery production position
-Minimum 4 years leading and developing teams with 10 or more members
-Must have amazing communication and collaborative skills
-Must have a methodical nature and strong project management skills
-Ability to successfully build, lead and coach a team
-Ability to operate forklift, hand truck, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment
-Knowledge of manufacturing methodologies (6 sigma / kanban / lean)
-Must be excellent to everyone
Duties and responsibilities:
-Oversee all of production and meet sales demands with the highest safety and quality standards
-Provide assistance in any department when necessary
-Build, develop and lead a team of passionate production employees and help them achieve their better at work and in life
-Work with management to uphold the highest standards of quality and ensure SOP are followed and improved when needed
-Work cross functionally with sales, finance and management
-Continuously innovate and improve both products and procedures
-Manage and maintain production budgets
-Ensure all OSHA protocols are observed and recorded in the brewery
-Maintain brewery and brewery equipment

$55k-$65k salary plus bonus, dependent upon experience.
