Overview:
Hitachino HK Brewery, a fully operational production brewery in Hong Kong, is seeking for an all rounded Assistant Brewer. The brewery currently runs with a 30HL Brewhouse that produces Hitachino Nest Beers and Carbon Brews (an employee driven local sub-brand).
Responsibilities:
- Perform cellar work including transfers, CIP, dry-hopping, taking fermentation records.
- Perform packaging work including kegging, bottling, and canning.
- Prepare and monitor inventory of raw materials and finished beers.
- Carry out all sanitary and safety procedures are carried out according the brewery’s standards.
- Assist Lead Brewer with yeast management procedures.
- Assist with maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs.
- Actively participate in all beer educational and marketing events to connect with the local beer community.
- Work with whole team to collectively provide input to new recipes for the Carbon Brews brand.
Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of professional brewery experience.
- Experience with >10HL Brewhouse operations.
- Formal brewing training at recognized brewing institutions is a plus.
- Must be a strong team player with a positive attitude who can work with a growing team.
- Available for full time capacity in Hong Kong for over two years.
- Must be physically fit and able to lift objects >25 kg.
- Must be able to work in >30 degrees Celsius environment in summer.
- Must be fluent in either English or Cantonese.
