Trillium Brewing Company is expanding and hiring a Wild Cellar Operator into the family. This is an amazing opportunity to join a rapidly expanding, family-run brewery and bring your expertise into the world of craft beer!

Primary Responsibilities:

Prepare, fill and maintain barrels/foeders

Conduct barrel/foeder transfers, blending and fruiting

Centrifuge operation

Sensory evaluation and record-keeping

Additional Duties:

CIP fermentation vessels, BBTs, transfer lines, etc

Yeast management

Sanitary transfers and centrifuge operation

Dry hopping

Beer carbonation

Monitor and document tank temperatures, pressures, beer gravity and pH

QC/QA protocols in the cellar. Strict adherence to QA/QC documentation

SOP creation and follow-through

Safe forklift operation

Follow strict safety standards

Operate bottle filler on packaging line

Desired Qualifications and Abilities:

Minimum of two-year experience as a Cellar Person at a medium sized production brewery or packaging brewpub

Experience producing mixed fermentation and barrel aged beers

In depth knowledge and understanding of sour beer production

Formal brewing education preferred but not required

Sufficient computer literacy, writing and math skills necessary to accurately document data collection worksheets

Ability to lift large, heavy items

Ability to stand for prolonged amount of time

Forklift experience preferred (Trillium Brewing will provide training)

Ability to safely handle hazardous chemicals in accordance with strict safety protocols

Have a passion for quality beer and workmanship
