Rowley Farmhouse Ales has an immediate opening for a self-motivated, passionate, ambitious craft beer enthusiast to join our team as the Sales Manager based in New Mexico. Qualified candidates must be outgoing, goal-oriented and have a love of the craft brewing industry. S/he will be an ambassador for our company and be expected to build exceptional relationships throughout New Mexico.
Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
• Achieve specified sales goals
• Develop new accounts and maintain current accounts within New Mexico.
• Communicate brand awareness, including pricing, inventory, events,…
• Be thoroughly acquainted with all key decision makers (or influencers) in New Mexico
• Conduct bartender/waitstaff educations and tastings
• Work with distributor on a regular basis
o Conduct distributor educations and tastings
o Lead and motivate distributor team members
• Enthusiastically represent the brewery in the market including:
o Festivals, tastings, tap takeovers, and other special events
• Know pricing of our products and how they compare to similar local and regional craft beer products
o For example: the price of our Berliner Weisse and how it compares to other Berliner Weisse beers in the market.
• Develop market profile target lists
• Partner with distributor sales team to ensure orders are placed, products are received, customers are happy
Required Skills/Experience:
• 1-2 years of beverage related sales experience
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
• Strong knowledge and experience in the local marketplace
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to work alone
• Great judgement and professional maturity
• General knowledge of the brewing process
• General knowledge of the craft beer market
• Excellent communication skills
• General knowledge of distribution operations
• Must be able to travel
• Must be able to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
• Computer competence in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and e-mail
• Ability to lift and move cases and kegs of beer when necessary
• Ability to climb, kneel, and stoop to arrange and display point of sale frequently
• Administrative abilities
o Expense reports, emails, weekly call reporting, monthly calendar, monthly recaps
• Must have a clean driving record
o Motor vehicle records checks will be performed on candidates
