POSITION OVERVIEW
Mass. Bay Brewing Company’s (MBBC) Operations/Systems Analyst is responsible for supporting the AVP of Operations on a wide range of projects including data analysis, forecasting and reporting. This Operations/Systems Analyst will be creating, developing and maintaining reports and tools so business analytics can be performed. The ideal candidate will need to have a keen analytical mind and the ability to see projects through to their successful conclusion. The individual should be proactive, highly motivated, detail oriented and be able to effectively communicate to cross-functional teams and external partners.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
These responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Generate and present sales forecasts and reports to internal teams
- Convert data into easily absorbed, actionable recommendations
- Continually improve reports and visual dashboards to meet business needs
- Conduct analysis, generate insights and recommend actions for senior leadership
- Develop, build and implement overall demand forecast process to add value to the sales, inventory and operations planning process
- Initiate continuous improvement of forecasting models, accuracy, techniques, processes and systems
- Wholesaler order and inventory monitoring
- Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly reporting and analysis of company trends as it relates to forecasting
- Mastery of Deacom (ERP) as well as being a lead member of the Deacom Task Force
- Administrative duties for reporting systems including Deacom and IDig
- Perform various ad-hoc analyses as needed
Production Forecasting Responsibilities:
- Communicate with production knowledge of sales trends (including upcoming price changes/promotions, incentives, features etc.) that would affect the production schedule
- Work closely with Sales team to ensure that wholesalers are ordering properly and balancing concerns of fresh beer (potential overstocks and pending returns) with out of stocks
- Partner with shipping department to ensure beer is delivered to wholesalers cost-effectively and in a timely manner
REQUIREMENTS/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business or Economics preferred, plus 2 – 3 years of experience in a professional business role, or equivalent combination of education and experience; industry experience preferred
- Expertise with Microsoft Excel at an advanced level; spreadsheet creation, editing and exporting to other applications required skills
- High degree of accuracy and commitment to quality
- Ability to prioritize appropriately while adhering to deadlines
- Extremely developed project management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- ERP and/or MRP experience a plus
- Experience with consumer analytics services such as VIP preferred
- Ability to be a self-starter who requires minimal guidance
- Proven ability to think strategically
