Cape May Brewing Co. is looking for an experienced Distribution Manager who is interested in working in an environment that encourages quality, decision making, and teamwork. This role will be working in all aspects of operations and distribution out of our Southern NJ warehouse location.
Responsible for managing the distribution operations and day-to-day functions of the wholesale beer distribution unit.

Responsible for managing the distribution operations and day-to-day functions of the wholesale beer distribution unit.
Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Manage and control all expenses attributable to operations, transportation/distribution of products, equipment utilization, and building/property
- Oversee admin and warehouse operations: Compliance, Distribution and Logistics, Warehouse/Inventory (Assure optimum performance related to space utilization, inventory availability, and high levels of customer service), Accounts Receivable, Reporting, Employee development (Coordinate employee training, job requirements, and safety requirements), Workplace safety
- Maintain and develop functional plans around strategic planning, environment/industry changes, communication planning, and operational planning.
- Oversee maintenance schedules, repairs, and/or replacements of equipment/vehicles: Regular maintenance/Preventative Maintenance, Commercial inspections, Compliance - State, DOT, and ABC
- Oversee the beer trafficking with our wholesale partners (suppliers and customers): Routing, Logistics, Driver KPI performance
- Develop and improve current logistics process.
- Inventory management: (Ensure the quality, timeliness, and accuracy of warehouse product receipts and delivery, FIFO, Control Shrinkage, Breakage)
- Review and approve purchase orders: (Incoming orders from Suppliers, Outgoing orders to Customers
- Ascertain how much freight to place on daily shipments utilizing software to maximize distribution efficiency
- Devise routes for daily shipments.
- Deploy truck drivers.
- Collaborate with marketing executives to ensure that new products reach the right markets at the optimal time.
- Ensure goods are stored properly and at the right temperature.
- Ensure inventory maintains optimal levels.
- Maintain a safe work environment
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.
- 5 years or more of Beer Distributor or equivalent industry experience highly preferred
- Experience with Distribution software and WMS preferred
- This position requires a results-driven focus and tenacious work ethic, with the drive, resolve, and urgency to do whatever it takes to accomplish specific goals.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills are a must.
